Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Generally reported as clean (multiple mentions: 'Chambre propre', 'Room was Clean', 'sehr schönes und sauberes Hotel', 'Place was neat'), but some issues: occasional musty/gritty smell, reports of roaches and inconsistent housekeeping (rooms not cleaned without follow-up).

Service

Staff are frequently praised as friendly and helpful ('Extrem freundliche Mitarbeiter', 'Staff were friendly', 'desk people were also fabulous'), though there are notable service failures in a few reviews (booking/bed mix-up, no follow-up about deposit, missed housekeeping for 2 days). Overall service leans positive but mixed.

Location

Very strong positive sentiment about location and proximity to subway and attractions (many mentions: 'Proche métro', 'Close to everything', 'Convenient to subway', 'Great location'). A few notes about the area feeling less safe at night, but location convenience is a consistent strength.

Room Quality

Mixed: some guests found rooms comfortable with good beds and great views, while others report cramped rooms, lack of bathtub, gritty appearance or awkward layout. Overall room quality is acceptable but variable.

Amenities

Gym/workout room and air conditioning are noted positives. Negatives include no breakfast for higher-priced rooms and awkward/poorly located restaurant/bathroom facilities. Amenities are adequate but uneven.

Value for Money

Several guests call the price reasonable or good value ('Muy bien en la relación calidad precio', 'Worth it'), though some complain about relatively high price without breakfast. Overall perceived as good value for many guests.

Modern Comforts

This New York City hotel is just 3. 2 km from the World Trade Center, offering modern comforts such as free Wi-Fi and on-site dining options. Guest rooms at Holiday Inn Lower East Side feature a 32-inch flat-screen TV, work desk, and coffee maker for your convenience.
